Reynolds served as art director on A New Hope and production designer for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. His work earned him an Academy Award for Best Production Design in 1978, and he won another Academy Award and BAFTA Award for Best Production Design in 1982 for Raiders of the Lost Ark.
