Details

We carry this hand-signed 16 x 20 photograph of Cal Ripken Jr. during the ovation for his 2,131st consecutive game, authenticated through the Major League Baseball Authentication Program.

On September 6, 1995, Ripken broke Lou Gehrig's record for consecutive games played, a mark that had stood for 56 years. The moment captured here shows the Baltimore crowd's standing ovation as Ripken circled the field at Camden Yards. That streak eventually reached 2,632 games before Ripken voluntarily ended it in 1998. The Iron Man retired in 2001 with 3,184 hits, 431 home runs, and two MVP awards.
