2025 Topps Chrome Marvel Sapphire Edition hobby box

Updated October 2026

2026 Topps Chrome Sapphire Marvel Comics is the third year of the Sapphire Edition treatment on Topps' Marvel Comics line, and the first Marvel Sapphire release without any signed autograph cards on the checklist. This is a preview and checklist-notes post: what Sapphire Edition is, how the 2026 box is configured, the parallel structure and odds, the two insert sets, how it differs from the 2025 edition and from the regular 2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics, and where it stands on release. Checklist details come from Checklist Insider's 2026 Topps Chrome Sapphire Marvel Comics guide and the product breakdown on our 2025 Sapphire listing, checked October 19, 2026.

What Sapphire Edition is

Sapphire Edition takes a set's base checklist and reprints it on Topps' blue "Sapphire" Chrome stock, with its own numbered Sapphire parallels, a couple of Sapphire-only inserts and, in some years, Sapphire versions of the set's autographs. It is sold online by Topps rather than through hobby distribution, in a small box with a premium price, and the appeal is that every card in the box is a Sapphire card. The format started on Topps' baseball and Star Wars products and reached Marvel Comics in 2024; the 2025 edition added Sapphire Selections, Infinite Sapphire and The Merry Marvel Marching Society inserts plus Sapphire versions of the facsimile and authentic autographs.

2026 box configuration

  • Packs: 8 packs per box, 4 cards per pack, 32 cards per box.
  • Case: 10 boxes per case.
  • Box break: four numbered parallels per hobby box.
  • Base set: 200 cards, the same 200-card checklist as 2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics, on Sapphire stock.

The configuration is unchanged from the 2025 edition, which was also 8 packs of 4 cards with four numbered Sapphire parallels per box.

Parallels and odds

Every base card has a Sapphire rainbow, with the following print runs and pack odds reported by Checklist Insider:

  • Green Sapphire /99, 1:6 packs
  • Purple Sapphire /75, 1:8
  • Gold Sapphire /50, 1:11
  • Orange Sapphire /25, 1:22
  • Black Sapphire /10, 1:53
  • Red Sapphire /5, 1:106
  • Padparadscha Sapphire 1/1, 1:527

At 8 packs per box, Green and Purple fall roughly once a box each, Gold about three times per four boxes, Orange about once every three boxes, and Black and Red are case-level pulls. Padparadscha is the Sapphire line's 1/1 name (the pink-orange sapphire), and with 200 base cards there are 200 of them in the product.

Inserts

  • Infinite Sapphire: 10 cards, 1:80 packs, so about one per ten boxes. The returning Sapphire-exclusive insert.
  • Hidden Gems: 5 cards, making its Marvel Comics Sapphire debut. Base is an Emerald version at 1:421 packs, with Onyx /10 (1:2,095), Ruby /5 (1:4,190) and Padparadscha 1/1 (1:20,112) parallels. The base Emerald is roughly a one-per-five-case pull.

Autographs: facsimile only in 2026

This is the headline change. The 2026 checklist has facsimile autographs (printed signatures) and no signed artist autographs. Checklist Insider notes that "unlike the 2025 release, there are no artist autographs on the checklist." The facsimile sets and their tiers:

  • Single Facsimile Autographs: 15 cards. Black /10 (1:671), Red /5 (1:1,341), Padparadscha 1/1 (1:6,704).
  • Dual: 6 cards. Black /10 (1:1,676), Red /5 (1:3,352), Padparadscha 1/1 (1:16,760).
  • Triple: 4 cards. Black /10 (1:2,514), Red /5 (1:5,028), Padparadscha 1/1 (1:25,140).
  • Quad: 2 cards, Padparadscha 1/1 only (1:50,280).

If you bought 2025 Marvel Sapphire for the signed autographs, 2026 is a different product: the chase is the parallel rainbow and the Hidden Gems insert, not a signature.

How it differs from regular 2026 Topps Chrome Marvel Comics

  • Stock and parallels: the regular hobby and mega release uses standard Chrome with Refractor parallels (Spider Web /399 down to SuperFractor 1/1, plus mega-exclusive X-Fractors). Sapphire replaces that with the Sapphire rainbow and the Padparadscha 1/1.
  • Inserts: the regular set carries Meanwhile..., One World Under Doom, Fanfare, Varied Visage, Topps Originals, Reflections and Cordially Invited. Sapphire carries only Infinite Sapphire and Hidden Gems.
  • Hits: the regular set has signed comic-artist autographs (including Stanley "Artgerm" Lau), Cordially Invited celebrity autographs, sketch cards and 1/1 cut signatures. Sapphire has facsimile autographs only.
  • Box size and channel: regular hobby and mega boxes are 8 packs of 7 cards through distribution and retail; Sapphire is 8 packs of 4 cards sold online by Topps.

Release timing

Topps' online sale for 2026 Topps Chrome Sapphire Marvel Comics ran on August 5, 2026 through its EQL raffle system, per Checklist Insider, so the product has been in collectors' hands since late summer and boxes now trade on the secondary market. We do not have a 2026 Sapphire listing in the store as of this update; our Sapphire stock is the 2025 Topps Chrome Marvel Sapphire Edition hobby box, which has the same configuration and includes the Sapphire autograph versions that 2026 drops. We will add 2026 boxes to the Marvel collection if we secure allocation.
