Sports Card Releases This Week: Oct 19–25, 2026

This is the week of October 19–25, 2026 in sports cards and trading card games, with scheduled street dates from Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Leaf and Onyx. Dates below come from published release calendars as of October 18 and can move without notice, so confirm with us before a break or a large pre-sell order.

What we're watching

• 2025-26 Panini Select Basketball is the week's main hobby release. The base set runs 400 cards across the Concourse, Premier Level, Courtside and Mezzanine Level tiers, with three hits per hobby box. The 2025 NBA draft class is the draw; the published checklist calls out VJ Edgecombe, Jeremiah Fears and Tre Johnson III among the rookies, and Cooper Flagg's rookie-year cards should be confirmed against the final checklist before you buy for a specific player. Early box pricing has been near $300, which is in line with recent Select Basketball years.
• 2026 Panini Obsidian Football keeps its seven-card, four-hit box. Obsidian is a hit-driven product with no NFL team logos, so value tends to concentrate in rookie autographs and low-numbered Electric Etch parallels. One source lists a First Off The Line version alongside standard hobby.
• 2026 Topps Heritage Football returns with a 1970s-style design, one hit per hobby box and Value boxes with Sparkle parallels. This is a set-builder product rather than a hit product; box prices in the high $100s are what we have seen so far.
• 2026-27 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey retail arrives two weeks after hobby. Blasters and tins carry retail-exclusive parallels and the same 49 Young Guns rookies, which keeps them relevant for collectors chasing a specific rookie without paying hobby prices.
• Topps Chrome Football pre-sales are expected to open October 19. Topps has given November 13 for the First Day Issue product, while the standard hobby date has not been confirmed by every tracker we use. We will update the week-of-November-9 post once it is locked.
